Masters in Business Administration: Revamped and Ready to Go
Strayer University is proud to announce the launch of our redesigned Master of Business Administration program. The new program is designed to keep ahead of current trends in business and education. The new design is still competitive with programs at the nation’s top business schools, with the added benefit of being grounded in adult learning theory.
“The new program was designed with extensive input not only from academic and industry leaders, but also from current and past Strayer University MBA students,” says Strayer University Provost Dr. Joel Nwagbaraocha. “It’s exciting to present a program in response to the demands of our students. This truly is ‘the student’s MBA.’”
The revamped program offers our students greater choice and flexibility, offering the option for students to select from 13 concentrations. Content is presented within an outcomes-oriented, case based curriculum that has been proven to work for adult learners. Through classes such as globalization, business ethics, and leadership, students are given the opportunity to take what they learn in the classroom and apply it to the real world and increase their likelihood of obtaining an in-demand job in today’s economy.
Marvin Peterson, a graduate of the redesigned MBA, says the new teaching approach is highly effective. Peterson, a senior manager at an international packing company, went back to school for his master’s degree after working for more than two decades in the food industry.
“I thought the case study focus was great,” he says. “It gave us a chance to hear different perspectives from a variety of businesses.”
