According to Fast Company, some experts predict “green jobs” will shake up the list of fastest-growing jobs in the next few years. “More and more companies are adding dedicated staff to focus their environmental efforts,” says Alison Doyle, About.com’s Guide to Job Searching.

Demand for green jobs is taking two paths: some are with specialized firms aimed at reducing environmental impact; others are with environmentally friendly companies hiring “green” officers to improve the company’s environmental impact. The environment for this growing industry will be high demand but high competition.
