Recently, we informed you about our three new programs that launched in early 2010, one of which is the new Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM). We’ve received a lot of positive feedback and interest about this program, so here’s some more detail about the program that you’ll want to know.
Strayer University’s MSHRM will prepare you for advancement in Human Resource Management and the global business environment. In general, it will help you increase your industry knowledge, leadership skills and people skills.
The Concentrations
There are two concentrations you can choose from. The first, Human Resource Generalist concentration, focuses on building a global workforce, developing effective labor relations, measuring performance and productivity, and determining return on investment. You may be interested in this concentration if you are pursuing a career as a manager, director, or vice president in areas like Human Resource Operations or Compensation and Benefits.
The second concentration, Human Resource and Organization Development, focuses on key practices needed for developing the talent of your organization’s workforce. You may be interested in this concentration if you are pursuing a career as a manager, director, or vice president in areas like Learning and Educational Leadership or Training and Education.
Professors and Networking Opportunities
Strayer University’s HRM professors are HR industry professionals that will show you how to apply the professionally relevant skills and knowledge that you learn into the field. Depending on your location, you can even join a Strayer University SHRM student chapter, where you can participate and benefit from seminars, conferences, and networking events to help enhance your HR educational experience.
