Strayer to Debut Master’s Degree and Two New Concentrations in the Spring Quarter
Strayer University is committed to expanding its quality degree offerings to give today’s students an advantage in tomorrow’s competitive work force. In response to student requests, beginning in the Spring Quarter, the University will offer a new Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) degree, as well as new concentrations in both the Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Education programs.
Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management
The MSHRM program teaches students how to align HR principles and practices with organizational goals and strategies in order to deliver successful business results. It prepares graduates to become leaders in their organizations’ human resource departments in any area of HR operations including talent management, compensation and benefits, and learning and organizational development.
Strayer University is proud to announce that the Society for Human Resource Management, the world’s largest HR management association, has acknowledged that the MSHRM curriculum aligns with guidelines they have developed for degree granting programs. The new MSHRM program joins Strayer’s BBA-HRM and MBA-HRM as programs recognized by SHRM for providing professionally-relevant skill sets that are used in today’s human resources business environment.
In addition to this new master’s program, Strayer University has also updated two existing programs by adding new concentrations.
Concentration in Health Services Administration
The Bachelor of Business Administration degree now offers a new concentration in health services administration. The program prepares students to coordinate and manage business activities in various health services organizations: hospitals, private practices, clinics, long-term health facilities or government and nonprofit organizations. In the BBA-HSA concentration, students are provided with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare for or advance in a career in business management and health services.

Concentration in Adult Education and Development
The Master of Education program with a concentration in adult education and development is designed to prepare students for a successful career working with adult learners in fields such as training and development, community college instruction, military education and online learning. Through the program, students will develop the skills and knowledge needed to design, plan, facilitate and assess adult student learning both in the classroom and via online systems.
At Strayer University, students get more out of their education because of the unique opportunity to learn from instructors who have years of professional experience and training in teaching adult learners. The professors continually challenge students to push themselves by using real-world case studies and hands-on activities in addition to the textbook.
