About a month ago, The House of Representatives passed legislation that could help college students afford college. The program, called “The Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act,” expands federal aid to college students while shifting to a direct federal lending program.

Plenty of students, including working adults, need this legislation. According to a New York Times article, “Two-thirds of American students borrow money to pay for their college education, and last fall’s market turmoil made their prospects uncertain.”
Well, this new legislation can help clear that up. Under the new program, loans will be available to students despite how the economic market is doing. Even more so, the money provided by the federal government will be approved in larger amounts, increasing annually. And the best part about all of it? Less questions to fill out on the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form.
These changes are planned to take affect in July 2010, just in time for next school year. Check out Strayer University’s financial options.

But with technology constantly changing, the online learning experience is now more than just webcasts and email communications with professors. Today, everything is happening online. Far from just the expected classes and emails, students are finding more and more that their learning materials, online classrooms, and extended student community are right within reach in the virtual world.
